Trung tâm Bảo tồn Thiên nhiên Việt dưới sự tài trợ của tổ chức BirdLife International, quỹ KNCF và công ty The Body Shop đã tổ chức triển lãm “Chung tay bảo vệ Động vật hoang dã” tại khuôn viên Sài Gòn – Quảng Bình Garden Café và Nhà thiếu nhi tỉnh Quảng Bình vào ngày 08 & 09 tháng 8 năm 2019. Triển lãm được tổ chức với mục đích quảng bá vẻ đẹp thiên nhiên của Khu Bảo tồn Thiên nhiên Đề xuất Khe Nước Trong, thuộc huyện Lệ Thủy, tỉnh Quảng Bình đồng thời nâng cao nhận thức của mọi người về bảo vệ động vật hoang dã.
Rừng Khe Nước Trong, Lệ Thủy, Quảng Bình
Khu vực Động Châu – Khe Nước Trong với diện tích khoảng 22.000 ha, được đánh giá là khu vực có tính đa dạng sinh học độc đáo của Việt Nam với nhiều loài động, thực vật đặc hữu và quý hiếm. Hơn 40 loài động vật bị đe dọa toàn cầu đã được tìm thấy tại nơi đây. Ngoài ra, bốn loài mới cho khoa học cũng được tìm thấy tại đây trong hơn một thập kỷ từ 1992 là Saola, Mang lớn, Mang Trường Sơn và Thỏ vằn. Tuy nhiên, các loài động vật tại Khe Nước Trong đang bị đe dọa tuyệt chủng do mất sinh cảnh sống (do khai thác gỗ, phá rừng làm nương rẫy) và săn bắn.

Đến với triển lãm, người tham dự đã có cơ hội tìm hiểu nhiều hơn về vẻ đẹp của rừng Khe Nước Trong cũng như thông tin về các loài động vật hoang dã quý hiếm tại đây thông qua tranh, ảnh, poster cùng những bộ phim ngắn tại khu trưng bày. Ngoài không gian trưng bày, các bạn nhỏ cùng phụ huynh còn được tham gia những hoạt động tương tác thú vị như vẽ tranh, tô màu, chơi xếp hình các bức tranh động vật hay góc sáng tạo làm đồ dùng tái chế. Thông điệp mà chương trình muốn gửi tới người tham dự là kêu gọi chung tay bảo vệ vẻ đẹp của thiên nhiên và các loài động vật hoang dã.

Triển lãm đã thu hút được sư quan tâm và ủng hộ của rất nhiều người, không chỉ người dân sinh sống tại Đồng Hới mà còn có những du khách đến từ tỉnh thành lân cận khác như Đà Nẵng, Huế. Tiếp nối sự thành công của đợt triển lãm lần này, Trung tâm dự kiến sẽ tổ chức các triển lãm tiếp theo nhằm tiếp cận đến nhiều đối tượng khác như học sinh, sinh viên tại thành phố Đồng Hới trong năm 2019.
